Hi everyone, how are you? In this section, I would like to share my projection of what I want to do after I decided the future direction of my research.
I would say that the completion of the research proposal is important, thus, first of all, I need to finish my research proposal early so that I have time to do the editing process if I need to.
Basically, after the future direction of the research is decided, I need to plan it out into a Gantt chart so that I can remember any important task I need to do. After the project proposal is submitted, only left the literature review, lab work and thesis.
A literature review is basically reviewing past research study. The study must be related to the title of research that I do. From my understanding, a literature review is mainly answering the question of “what is this study about”.
The literature review will started from the general information related to the study and later on will be focused on the specific information related to the aim of the study.
Meanwhile, for lab work, I will start to do an experiment to collect data for my study. The experiment will take time and the estimation of the period of time is hard to be done as we don’t know if the procedure stated in the research proposal can be done or failed. While doing lab work, it is not impossible to fail to conduct the experiment thus the risk couldn’t be negligible. As for thesis writing, it will be an ongoing task. From the introduction to the conclusion of the research project. The main core of the thesis is the data. Thus data collection is crucial as we want to analyze the data.
In conclusion, research proposal is a first step that needs to be taken before embarked into further exploration. Thus, it is important to know what we want to do and what is our aim for the study.
so how about you? what's next?
Thank you.
