According to Earl Robert Babbie, " research is a systematic inquiry to describe, explain, predict and control the observed phenomenon. research involves inductive and deductive methods."
When we want to do research, the most important things that we need to pay attention is the thinking/idea. We first need to identify what we want to find out. From this, we need to decide how we want to find out the things we desired and slowly build the idea. We need to be able to build arguments about an idea and the concepts and need to justify our argument so that people can accept it.
From my point of view, research is important as it will highlight certain issue and help us to gain a better understanding of a certain topic. As research is conducted because the researcher wants to improve previous researcher’s work or there is a new problem arise that need them to find the solution. Different people will have a different opinion, there are times where the researcher will have different point even if they study the same topic. This is where research is important as we need evidence to support our opinion, we need to have solid proof to justify why our argument or ideas is contradicted from other researchers. My aim for these courses is to be able to conduct proper research. Besides, I want to enhance my problem-solving skills. I want to be able to highlight a problem and find a solution for those particular issues.
As a student, the quality and ethics that we need is hardworking and is resilience person also integrity. When we have integrity, we will then work hard. However, when we lack morality, it will affect our workforce and later on can impact our personal goals.
